What is Taiji Shibashi Qigong?
It is a form of therapeutic Qigong that was created by Professor Lin Housheng starting with Set 1 in 1979. There are 8 Sets in total each having their own benefits. The movements were modified and simplified from Taiji Quan, Taiji (movement and stillness, Yin and Yang) so the practice is relatively easy to do and follow.
I have chosen to work with the first 3 Sets, each have 18 movements.
With proper breathing (in through the nose, out through the mouth) we allow the movement to guide our body slowly while directing the QI (energy) through our body. The breath being synced with our movements leaves the mind focused on that movement. Each movement promotes the unblocking of stagnant, excessive, or depleted QI, encouraging the healthy flow through each meridian and an overall sense of well-being.
The effects are preventive, curative and nurture our self-development.
Each movement has 3 aspects:
1- posture and movement (works on our physical and energetic bodies)
2- breath (slow, deep, with mindfulness)
3- Intention (working with Spirit- meditation, focus, visualization)
To see and feel the benefits, practice is key and the more we treat it as a form of ritual the more the results will give us serenity, happiness, and a healthier version of ourselves.
It is a constant journey of transformation.

It is a form of therapeutic Qigong that was past on by Master Mingtang Xu. This practice is very different from Shibashi Qigong. There are 5 levels.
The three first levels are meant to improve are overall health through specific movements, techniques, and meditations.
The goal is to allow our physical, energetic bodies to connect as one with our environment, with nature and to tap into our inner healing wisdom.
Each movement has a specific meaning and benefit (there are 7 in total, and some have 2 parts). Some movements can be practiced for 20 minutes at a time all with a specific purpose.
A self-healing massage is taught so you can actively promote your bodies energy system to flow naturally.
A typical class sequence would go as follows:
The key is to practice, practice and practice.
Practice, Patience, and Persistence can lead you to great results.
Less Stress, More Energy
